Our awareness of our internal state, and our ability to modulate it, depend in part on our willingness to feel. Similarly, one of the traits of Attention Deficit Disorder is the need to be distracted from distressing internal states. In this class we will explore the impact of stress on our selves and the components of a calm, alert state. On the floor with ourselves and on tables with hands on each other we will:
~ identify the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system
~ differentiate between external and internal regulation
~ explore brain chemistry
in order to assist our guests with greater ease and flow.

Moderate amounts of stress can bring positive momentum to our day, but many of us experience the physical and emotional consequences of on-going stress. In this class we will use expanded consciousness and gentle movement to increase our awareness of our immune system, notice the impact of stress, and invite greater balance into our lives. Please dress comfortably.

Clinic will begin at 9:15 with an opening discussion/experience. Table sessions will be at 10:00 and 10:45. Sign-up is on the day of the clinic on a first-come, first-served basis.
